This platform serves the purpose of conveying the most essential information pertaining to Hungary’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) through the help of our user-friendly database and interactive map. The datasets and data visualisations present details of our projects, including countries and areas of intervention, targeted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the amount of funds allocated to our numerous initiatives and activities.

By virtue of the IDC Mapping Tool, high-quality data are publicly available for all those who are interested in discovering our development activities all around the world or seeking to explore potential partnerships for development. By publishing our development cooperation activities, we are not only serving the interests of transparency, but we are also seeking to improve our decision-making processes, while raising awareness of our contributions to sustainable peace and development on a global scale.

Hungary continues to view international development cooperation as an important tool for promoting peace, social and economic development and fostering new partnerships. Our international development policy also relies on international solidarity and effective assistance on the ground, while giving high priority to the local needs of the beneficiaries. Accordingly, Hungary supports the economic convergence of the developing world and the fight against global poverty – for the sake of international peace, security and balanced growth. In this respect, Hungary continues to finance projects and programs aiming to spur job creation, address the root causes of migration and improve living conditions in line with local aspirations. In line with the priorities identified in Hungary’s International Development Cooperation Strategy for the period 2020-2025 (IDC2025), Hungary shall continue to promote development efforts, particularly in the fields of water management and sanitation, agriculture, health, education, environment and information technology.
